What happens before you accept a case?
A private conversation in which we listen, assess whether we can contribute anything, and tell you clearly. Nothing is set in motion before that.
The first conversation
It takes place over WhatsApp or by telephone, with one of the two people who work here. There is no long form and no questionnaire. You tell us what you wish to tell us, in whatever order you choose — and we listen.
The first question we ask almost never concerns the problem itself. It is usually: since when? The answer to that question says more than the whole description before it.
The assessment
On the basis of what you have told us, we assess whether we believe we can contribute anything to your situation. It is an honest assessment, not a formality: some cases we decline because the real answer lies elsewhere — with a doctor, a lawyer, an adviser — and some because the decision of the person asking has not yet been made.
If the answer is no, we tell you in that same conversation, with the reason. There is no waiting list and no reduced version of the service.
What is agreed before anything begins
- Exactly what we will do, and over what period.
- What it will cost — a fixed amount, with nothing added later.
- Whether travel is required, and on what terms.
- How you will be kept informed, and how often.
Nothing is set in motion until these four points are clear to both sides.
What you may demand of anyone
That the method is explained before you pay. That you are given a fixed amount. That a person answers, not a switchboard. That you are told no when the answer is no. And that your name appears nowhere, ever.
If your situation requires it, present it.
